About Hang Seng Management College (HSMC)
HSMC was restructured from the former Hang Seng School of Commerce and was established in 2010 as a non-profit, self-financed university-level institution, with five Schools (Business, Communication, Decision Sciences, Humanities & Social Science, and Translation) and around 5,000 full-time students. Adopting the unique “Liberal + Professional” education model, HSMC is a residential institution which puts quality teaching and students’ all-round development as its highest priorities. Aspiring to be a leading non-profit private university in Hong Kong, HSMC features top-quality faculty members, award-winning green campus facilities, innovative degree programmes, impactful research on corporate sustainability, and excellent student support services, with the aim of nurturing young talents with independent thinking, innovative minds, human caring and social responsibilities.
Objectives of “HSMC FunD Run for U”
HSMC is proud to present “HSMC FunD Run for U”, the first community engagement cum fundraising run among local self-financed higher education institutions, which is scheduled to kick off on 15 April 2018 (Sunday) at 8:15 a.m. Partly as a fundraising event, the Run will help HSMC by:
- Bringing together people and communities to support HSMC’s acquisition of university title;
- Promoting eco-friendly and healthy living as well as positive energy to enable Hong Kong to become a more inclusive society;
- Reconnecting with alumni and gaining their support; and
- Raising funds for HSMC’s strategic development, and facilitating application for “7th Matching Grant Scheme” with donations received in this event, doubling benefits to HSMC through public benevolence.
